Backing Rod is a closed cell polyethylene foam rod supplied in circular section cords of varying diameters. The backing rod is primarily used in expansion joints but is also suitable for use in any joint system requiring readily compressible joint filler containing no migratory chemicals which could adversely affect joint sealants.
